Let me just say from the off, to consistently trade profitably, trading software is not the answer. It's part of the answer, but it certainly cannot be relied on to consistently provide you with successful trade after successful trade. Having said all that there's nothing like choosing an entry or exit point from a market and having some software running in the background backing up your decision. So, if you view these programs for what they are and don't swallow their hype hook, line and sinker, you may just find them beneficial. To that end, Investor Trader endorse none of the below but provide this resource as a starting point for your search for trading software Nirvana.
For all you Mac users out there - and I know you're out there - Trade Strategist is a nice, clean piece of investment software that does it thing using a bunch of technical analysis techniques. It features 90+ built-in functions and indicators that the user can implement to create their own unique trading strategy that will produce buy and sell indicators. Strategies can then be employed on historical data to test their effectiveness before having a crack with the real thing.
